I wired them directly into the car battery using a hot wire from the battery to a light switch to the lights and simply used the vehicle's frame as a distributed ground, the light color is easy on the eyes for LEDs and they provide enough illumination to dig through bins in the back of my truck
Yea I know they are not waterproof outdoor lights but I've been using this type for years ya just stick them through some clear tubing and seal both ends lasts years, these lights are very bright and can be to bright at night unless you posision them just right around your boat
The finished product is really great, they really glow and provide a great ambient lighting effect, I do have to admit though : the adhesive on the back works well but not in humid conditions, overall : I am very impressed with this product and I would be willing to buy another
