I have been using it for a week now and there is absolutely no problem now. All ports can work well. Very small device, it is much smaller than I expected, which is exactly what I need on the road. I recently upgraded to a new laptop with only one USB-C port. This is the second hub I bought because I didn't realize how many card slots I would use at the beginning. I often use this hub to connect my laptop to a power source and at the same time back up an external drive through one of the USB ports. The connection is tight, but not too tight. I highly recommend it to my friends.
I like this product. Worked like a champ on my Mini MacBook. The USB ports so far work great and I love the blue LED light that shows the device has power. I am satisfied with the construction of this product. I've tested it out, and sometimes this would become a little hot. Plus one star for good customer service.
Design is classic and materials are durable. I looked online at a lot of hub adapters before settling on this one. I am now able to plug it in and connect any device I've used with my older MacBook Pro in the past, as well as modern ones. But the converter isn't portable. Just suitable for home use.
I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro with a touch bar. I was baffled at the fact that there were no USB ports or even an SD card reader since I was so used to my older MacBook having them. So I turned to Gearbest. So far it worked great. But the size is a bit large. I couldn't put it in my handbag.
